First of all, there were tornadoes on Grand Bahamas...NOT on Eleuthera. Several people died during the storm, please keep them in your prayers. Methodist Habitat is leaving here and visiting the damage to see what they might do. I love this organization!
Today was our first full work day. It was a great day. Several crews are working on roofs, some are working on the community medical clinic, some are working on a youth center, and I'm not sure what else. It was hot today, but breezy...so not to bad. We have some sun burns, but are demanding that everyone slather up regularly. We ended our work day with some time at the beach. Many went snorkeling and it was great. Hopefully you can join us in the future.
See what we are up to
Welcome! We hope you enjoy this site and that it gives you a taste of what we are doing On Eleuthera Island. Eleuthera is one of the many Bahamian Islands and is located 255 miles east of Miami, FL.
We are working with Bahamas Methodist Habitat here on the Island. They are known for their caring hearts and desire to help those in need. We are glad to be here working with them, As we have updates and photos about our experiences, we will post them here.
As you enjoy our photos and updates, please pray for us and the people of Eleuthera. It is our greatest hope that above all else that Christ is made known to those we work with and in our own lives.
