See what we are up to

Welcome! We hope you enjoy this site and that it gives you a taste of what we are doing On Eleuthera Island. Eleuthera is one of the many Bahamian Islands and is located 255 miles east of Miami, FL.

We are working with Bahamas Methodist Habitat here on the Island. They are known for their caring hearts and desire to help those in need. We are glad to be here working with them, As we have updates and photos about our experiences, we will post them here.

As you enjoy our photos and updates, please pray for us and the people of Eleuthera. It is our greatest hope that above all else that Christ is made known to those we work with and in our own lives.

Snorkeling Gear

Jane Currin and I had the chance to snorkel one afternoon for a couple of hours. It was amazing! We just walked in right off the beach and discovered Finding Nemo in real life. Thankfully each day that we are working we will have a little beach time at the end of the day. What a great way to cool off and relax.

Bahamas Methodist Habitat has asked us to consider bringing our own snorkeling gear and then leaving it for other groups to use (admittedly, the gear they have is in pretty rough shape). I think this would be a great idea for our group. I imagine that if you do a little searching you might be able to find some end of the season clearance snorkeling gear. It doesn't have to be top of the line stuff. Anything will be better and more than what they already have. Here are a few online options:

There are LOTS of other sites out there. If you find one that has great deals, please share. Also, you may find that some in town stores have some clearance gear. If you do, please share that too.
